Today, we’re releasing a new feature, and it’s one that I personally requested. I’m incredibly excited to finally share it with you because it solves a very real, very personal problem.

Let me explain. May was an intense month for me. Between preparing for WordCamp Europe, my teaching responsibilities, and studying for an additional qualification, my personal website slipped completely off my radar. The result? I didn’t earn the May badge in Progress Planner. I felt really bad about that. Even a bit ashamed. I am the co-founder of the product, so I should have all these badges. 

And then June came. Did I jump back in? Nope. I didn’t work on my site at all. Why? Because I felt like I had broken my streak. I didn’t want to be reminded of my failure. The missing badge wasn’t just a gap in my collection; it became a mental block.

Now, I’m in close contact with the developers of Progress Planner (perks of the job), and I’ll admit… I seriously considered cheating. Couldn’t they just give me the badge? Surely they could sneak it in somehow?

But then I realized, if I felt this way, I bet others did too. So instead of cheating, we built something better. Something for everyone.

Introducing: Ravi’s Rewind

Ravi’s Rewind is our new “win back your badges” feature. If you missed a badge, maybe you too were busy, sick, or just forgot. Now, you have the opportunity to reclaim it.

Here’s how it works:

• You can win back last month’s or the month before’s badge.
  
• Use the extra points you earn this month to unlock a missed badge.
  
• We won’t go further back than two months — this feature is about helping you get back on track, not rewriting history.

Because let’s be real: life happens. Some months are rough. But Progress Planner is here to help you move forward. Reclaiming a badge isn’t cheating; it’s recognizing that motivation can bounce back, and your website deserves that second wind.
