Check unpublished content

Sometimes you start a post with great intentions but don’t finish it. Maybe the idea felt strong at first, but you lost interest, or you simply ran out of time. These drafts remain in the backend of your site, slowly piling up and often forgotten.

This task looks for any posts you last touched more than a week ago but haven’t published yet. It could be a draft you meant to return to or a post you never finalized. Either way, the task helps you stay aware of content that’s sitting unfinished in your site’s backend.

Why you should revisit unpublished content

Revisiting content you’ve never published is more valuable than it may seem. Some of these drafts may hold ideas worth picking up again and turning into strong posts. Even if you decide not to publish them, deleting old drafts helps keep your site clean and organized.

Unfinished content can clutter your backend. Over time, that clutter makes it harder to focus, sort content, and move forward with clear priorities. Regularly checking and either finishing or removing drafts helps you stay in control of your content.

How to check unpublished content

When the task appears, click on it to go directly to the draft it refers to. Then read through what you’ve written so far.

You have two options:

  • If the content is still relevant, finish writing and publish it.
  • If it’s no longer relevant, delete the draft to keep your site’s backend clean.

Snoozing the task

If you’re not ready to publish yet but want to keep the draft, you can snooze the task.

For example, if you’re working on a post related to an upcoming event or campaign, you might not want to publish it right away. In that case, snooze the task. You’ll get a reminder later to ensure the post isn’t forgotten.
