Disable author specific RSS feeds

What are author specific RSS feeds?

WordPress automatically creates an RSS feed for every author on your site. They contain the posts from that author in chronological order and allow a user to subscribe to this feed and get everything that author writes.

Why would you disable the author specific RSS feeds?

These might be useful if you have multiple authors on your site, but if you have only one author, that feed is a direct copy of your site’s overall RSS feed. At that point, it’s better to just disable it entirely.

Why is this a Ravi’s Recommendation?

Ravi’s Recommendations help you keep your site optimized. Author RSS feeds don’t add value on single-author sites and can cause duplicate content. Removing them keeps your site clean and your SEO in shape.
