What’s the site icon or favicon?
In WordPress, a “site icon” (often referred to as a favicon) is a small image that appears in browser tabs, bookmark bars, and other places to visually represent your site. Site icons help users quickly recognize your website, increasing brand consistency and usability.
Why is setting your site icon important?
Setting a custom site icon helps you stand out from every other WordPress site. And because it shows in your browser tabs, it helps users easily find your site when they’ve opened multiple tabs.
Your site icon can also be used by Google to display in the search results and is thus yet another way to stand out from your competitors!
