We’re excited to introduce the latest update to Progress Planner. In this version, we focused on one big goal: making your dashboard experience smoother, cleaner, and more enjoyable to use.
Your dashboard is now faster, cleaner, and easier to use, so you can spend less time clicking around and more time improving your site.
Why we redesigned the dashboard
We believe your tools should help you move forward, not slow you down. While Progress Planner already helped people set and track their goals, we saw room to make the experience even smoother.
Over time, we noticed friction in how users interacted with the dashboard. Some areas required too many clicks. Others weren’t as intuitive as they could be. The interface didn’t always make it easy to focus or stay in flow.
So, this redesign started with a clear question: how can we make Ravi’s Recommendations easier to use, more enjoyable to navigate, and more supportive of your focus?
We studied how people use the plugin, simplified key workflows, and made the visual design cleaner and more consistent. The results are in Progress Planner 1.8. We’ve smoothed those edges so your workflow feels faster, focused, and natural again.
What’s new?
A more native look and feel
The Ravi’s Recommendations and To-do list sections have been completely refreshed. You’ll notice cleaner layouts, clearer spacing, and smoother interactions that make everything easier to scan and act on. Ravi’s Recommendations now display actionable links on hover, in the WordPress style you’re already familiar with. This ensures the whole experience feels more natural and keeps you in flow.
Added flexibility
The new layout gives Ravi’s Recommendations more room to grow, with better options available for each check. This means you’ll start seeing smarter guidance right inside your dashboard, and future integrations, like our Yoast SEO recommendations, will drop in seamlessly without adding clutter.
