Optimize site representation settings

What are the site representation settings?

In your SEO plugin, the site representation settings let you specify whether your website represents an organization or an individual. This helps search engines understand your site’s identity, improving how it appears in search results.

Why do you need to optimize these settings?

Defining your site as an organization or an individual allows your SEO plugin to generate accurate structured data (Schema.org markup). This helps search engines better understand your content, leading to improved indexing and presentation in search results. You also need to make sure to set a name and logo if you’re an organization for it to fully work.

Properly configuring these settings can also increase your chances of being featured in Google’s Knowledge Graph, which displays key details about your organization or personal brand directly in search results. Additionally, setting your site’s name, logo, and social profiles ensures consistent branding across search engines, strengthening brand recognition.
